New purchases!

Hey guys and dolls! Thought I would quickly give you a haul blog to read as I went shopping in Homebase and Sainsburys today (I am too cool for school)!

I am also throwing in a quick rekindling love to start! It is a minty blue, miniature vase (maybe for a posey of flowers not a bunch) from OliverBonas which I placed on my vanity as I have no use for it! It now holds my brushes - giving me a lot more room in my boxes for make up!
It looks really cute against my photo frames!

Ok - now moving on to Sainsburys purchases! I wandered straight into the beauty aisle (as per) and came across new make up and skin are ranges! I immediately levitated towards the face wash as I am in deep need and came across a new GarnierSkinNaturals wash! My last was a 3 in 1 wash, scrub, mask from their range and is my holy grail of skincare! But I fought I'd try something new! So I picked up their PureActiveIntensive CharcoalScrub! I am honestly so excited to try this I can't contain myself! We'll see how it turns out!

The next is also skincare! I usually don't go for Simple - but this caught my eye! It is the Simple RapidAction SpotZapper! It's basically a roller ball on the end of a tube with Zinc and Chamomile spot treatment! Really excited - I hope it works as well as my duo action one from TheNaturalCollection!

My last sainsbury buys are ones you have heard about from me before! My absolute favourite shampoo and conditioners! I don't even need to start on these - numerous raves about them on other blogs! Love love love!

Now on to Homebase! I picked up three things for my room when in Homebase! The first being a super cheesy, but really cute, cream, 'Love' sign! It rests perfectly on my bookshelf and I love it!

The second item being a little, cream (distressed) clock! It is on the top of my JohnLewis desk!

And last being my little glass pot with ridges! I will put cotton pads and buds (q-tips) in it! It sits on my smallest tile on my vanity!

I hope you've enjoyed today's blog! Come back every Sunday xxx

My vanity and make up! 💛

DISCLAIMER - this is not intended to brag!

SIDE NOTE - pictures from frames have been taken out or blurred for privacy reasons!

Hi everyone! Today's blog is really exciting because it will be on my vanity and make up collection! Unfortunately I won't have all of my make up in my collection as I will be on holiday by the time your reading this and my must haves are packed in my suitcase! I will also not have time to label every single thing so if you are wondering about anything in the drawers you can ask me about anything in a comment below or on my google+ -issymagsblog@gmail.com

Enjoy!

Below is a picture of my vanity which I purchased last year from DunelmWood! It is an ivory colour with dark brass ring handles and an ivory, leather padded stool! It comes from the Primrose range and has been previously described as distressed vintage!

I have a series of picture going across the vanity and I will add little tid bits under each picture!
Here I have a cork bottle with blue sand and shells from Croatia, two china flowers from John Lewis, an After the Rain perfume from a boutique and two boutique metal candle holders (with heart and flower cut outs) with BathAndBodyWorks candles in them! These rest on a medium sized, matte, mint tile! I reposition these items to use the tile for my straighteners or curlers to rest them!

Here I have my Polaroid camera and a TheBodyShop perfume! You can also see the BathAndBodyWorks CaribbeanEscape candle!

My jewellery tree is in shot and you can check out my blog on it from last week!

Here you can see my TrueGrace room infuser next to my CaudalíeParis divine face and hair oil! This rests in front of my Hawaiian Tropic SPF15 tanning oil!

Here is my canvas, "don't dis my sis" make up bag behind my small, boutique, wooden chest! (#justsaying the dark bronze clasp matches the handles!)

Here you can see my Davidoff CoolWaterWoman CoralReefLimitedEdition perfume, a bunch of big, white roses and my SuperG HarujukuLovers from GwenStefani! Also a white roses paperchase photo frame!

Another roses paperchase photo frame in blue! In front there are anther two HarujukuLovers dolls in Baby and Angel!

This is the second last photo of my vanity and it is a cream, boutique candle holder in the style of a bird cage! It sits on a small, cream, patent tile with white detailing!

Last is a photo of the behind of the right hand mirror! I wanted to make it look presentable as everyone can see it so I put two boutique candles in front of a glass vase with a glass stopper in it!

Now I will give you a quick overview of my make up collection! I have two drawes in which there are four Muji, clear, plastic boxes in each!

In the draw closest to the window:
Top left: eye shadows and blushes.
Bottom left: brushes, eye pencils, liquid liners, concealers, mascaras and eye crayons.
Top right: liquid highlighter, foundation (which I use as precision concealer), eye shadows, powder, bronzer, a cream blush and an eye pot.
Bottom left: face creams, spot treatments, face oil and sun cream.

The other drawer:

WARNING: all lips 🙊
Top left: one lip gloss, one lip pencil and a lip tubes.
Bottom left: lip balms, lip butters and lip scrubs.
Top right: lip glosses, one lip stain and one lip crayon.
Bottom left: lip sticks and balms!

BONUS FEATURE: I will quickly give you a pic of my travel make up bag so you have an idea of the amount of things I take! You won't be able to see all of the items because the bag is a bit of a mess, but if you want a proper travel make up blog - there will be one in my earlier blog posts!

I hope you enjoyed this blog - I also hope the make up wasn't too brief! Remember if you have any questions about the drawers, my blog or blogging techniques - make sure to contact me! For contact info go to my "Where to find me!" blog! X

Jewellery Tree!

Hey everyone! Todays blog is going to be on something that I have not really covered before! JEWELLERY! One of my friends gave me the most beautiful jewellery trees for my birthday last year and I thought 'why not tell the internet about it?'

I will insert a picture of it here👇
This picture is just to give you an idea of one you can style a jewellery tree and how it might look on a regular day on a vanity with three mirrors! Mine has one central and two side mirrors and the jewellery trees resting on the (my) left hand side mirror near the window! It also gives you an idea of how much you can put on it and the access to each piece of jewellery you have!

I'm really sorry that I don't know where the tree is from! It was a birthday present from a good friend who found it in the window of a small shop! I took another picture of it against my wall so you could see it more clearly!
As you can see it is cream painted metal that has a bowl at the bottom of it (presumably for rings) that has hearts cut all the way around the rim!

(I will take some close ups so you know what I'm chattering about ☺️)

Starting from the bottom - I use the bowl to rest a small pouch in which I keep earing backs! They are really handy and the pouch is a great way to keep the secure!
I also fold the legs of my sunglasses (I dont know where they are from, sorry) round the stem of the tree and let the rest  in the bowl! They are a frosty clear colour and the lenses are a purple shade!
I have a couple of shots of the middle of the tree that are all necklaces and bracelets and earrings!
Here I'm just showing that in each leaf there are two holes for your earrings to go in! It's so cite and handy! You don't need big boxes taking up vanity space and your studs are safe as can be! I usually hand dangly ones on branches!

All over the tree there are branches and twigs and leaves and birds all perching carefully peering at the fine jewellery!

Below you will see a close up and a shot further away of my other pair of sunglasses (H&M rose gold) rest precariously on the branches and birds! Very close to it is my "Isabella" bracelet with different stones!
And the last picture is the very top - where one bird sits with my bangles on its' tail and a necklaces draped across its' neck!

This jewellery tree is perfect for my room and really livens my vanity!

(Side note: I do have a few other necklaces and rings which I will picture below in their habitats!)

Thank you for reading! Come back next Sunday for a vanity blog (including make up collection) xxx

New things!!!

Hi everyone! Today's blog is going to be a bit short and random as I have literally just come back from a holiday in France! (Which by the way - was lovely, because I know you were wondering 😉).

Anyway - by the title - this is just going to be a quick blog on what new things I have picked up or tested!!!

To begin - I didn't manage to get a picture of this but I was using the 'Organic LemonGrass Shampoo and Conditioner' in my showers! Now, usually I check what kind of hair my conditioners and shampoos are designed for - but running out of my regular conditioner (during a serious knot crisis) I turned to the other one in the shower! I used this for two days before deciding to use the shampoo as well! I still don't know if it is for thick hair - but it works like a charm! It  almost dissolves the knots on my hair and leaves my curls without frizz and seriously smooth! I also liked how hydrated and not - damaged (I appologise for bad grammar) my hair felt as I was swimming the pool everyday for a whole week!!!! Anyways - it is something to look into for you guys and leaves a nice citrusy smell in your hair too! V fresh.

The next is my 'Kiehls Crème de Corps'. In English from French - this means 'Kiehls Body Cream'!
Because I was tanning while in holiday - I wanted to preserve it and the best way to do that is to apply body cream! Instead of exfoliating (taking away the tanned layers of skin) you can nourish your tanned skin (the other good way to so this is use suncream - I personally recommend p20) and keep the tan by almost letting the skin settle under the cream! This cream is super duper hydrating, smells nice and goes deep into the skin without blocking pores! I would recommend letting this sink in over night as it is quite thick!

My last items were ones I grabbed (not stole) from the airport lounge! They are BioTea tea bags that I saw and couldn't resist!
I picked up 9 different flavours as I have an obsession with herbal teas! They are great for cleansing and detoxing - and can be had to energise or rejuivinate in the morning / settle and relax before bed!

I picked up...
ROOIBOS - regular tea, no caffeine
ENGLISH BREAKFAST
JASMINE
VANILLA
VERVEINE
GREEN GUNPOWDER (not violent)
MINT
EARL GREY
DARJEELING

I even had the earl grey on the plane!
It was actually lovely and aromatic! I usually don't like it - but BioTea has made me a convert!
I really recommend BioTea (though I only tried one!)

I hope today's blog wasn't too boring! Come back next Sunday and subscribe if you haven't! Xx
